Native scene

A sign with a Native American holding an arrowhead is featured on Wood Field at Molalla High School behind goalkeeper C.J. Stith during a boys soccer game in the fall. The school’s use of an Indian mascot will be discussed this week by the state’s education department, which could eventually eliminate names and images derived from Native American culture.
