Longtime local resident and Molalla Pioneer columnist Vera Erickson was asked to be this year's parade grand marshal before she died from cancer in April. Molalla City Manager John Atkins, Jr. drove his convertible Mustang with a tribute to Erickson in Sunday's parade. A few of the teddy bears from her large collection rode inside.
