League-leading La Salle Prep didn’t let the Molalla Indians even get a chance at an upset, building an early 20-point lead and led by 23 at halftime. The Falcons continued to roll in the third quarter on their way to a 56-36 win at Molalla.

The Molalla swim teams hosted Blanchet Catholic High School for a dual meet. Molalla senior Leah Halderman won the 500-yard butterfly in 6:28.94. Full results are not yet available.

The Molalla Indians got three-straight wins from Adam Keller (120 pounds), Duke Hebdon (126 pounds) and Jacob Whittrock (132 pounds), but the Indians only won one more match the rest of the way, as the North Marion Huskies took home a win over the host Molalla Indians on Wednesday.

For the second time in two weeks, the Clackamas Community College running programs have picked up a commitment from a Molalla High School athlete.Pake Benthin, the decorated senior from Molalla, has signed an NWAACC Letter of Intent with Clackamas.

If there was such a thing as a moral victory, Molalla’s 47-38 loss to the Gladstone Gladiators Tuesday night might have been one of them.After getting blown out of the water 63-26 just three weeks prior, the Indians (1-7, 7-15) held their own with the 11th-ranked Gladiators (6-2, 13-6) for three quarters, before Gladstone outscored Molalla 8-2 over the final four minutes to secure the win.
