What a week for Molalla junior Emily Bever.During the week she finished in the eighth at the OSAA 4A State Cross Country Championship, Bever also came up with the game-winning goal as the Molalla Indians (7-2-1, 9-4-1) wrapped up a second place finish in the Tri-Valley Conference with a 4-0 win at Madras (0-9-1, 2-11-1) on Oct.

As the seconds wound down on another win for the Molalla Indians, everyone was all smiles.Everyone, that is, except head coach Jory Shene.After a 3-1 win over the Madras White Buffaloes (3-7, 3-11) to cap off an undefeated campaign in the Tri-Valley Conference, Shene gathered his team around for about five minutes after the game to warn them about complacency and their level of play.
