What was happening in Colton in 1913? Life was getting pretty established in the area. Wikipedia tells us that Colton was named in 1892 by two residents, Joshua Gorbett and a man named Cole, each wanted to name the community after the other.

Hallo, alle! The past month has flown by really fast! The last week in January we had Pia from Chile stay with us for the weekend. That Saturday we went to a community breakfast in Bornheim, and then to Speyer.

I have driven past the Meadowbrook Community Church on Windy City Rd. in Mulino several times a week for years and have never taken the time to make contact with them in regards to what activities they have going on in our community.

On Saturday, March 16 the fourth annual “Stars on Stage” was again a successful fundraiser hosted by the Colton Parent Club. The night is a combination talent show and food booth event.

The Colton School District has lit up their new electronic reader board after working to get it functioning for more than a year. Colton School District Superintendent Linda Johnson cites the reasons for it taking so long to permits, inspections and following all county guidelines.
